Lady Skye

The Face of the Show

Lady Skye isn’t your average Donkey, she is the face of the London Summer Event Show. With an over-the-top love of all things Summer, she’s the first one to sport a bikini and flip flops at the first glimpse of the sun: a true typical British tourist.

To keep up to date with all the latest Show news, make sure you follow @ladysummerskye on Twitter or Instagram.

Favourite Ice Cream Flavour: I am very naughty when it comes to snacking and ice cream is my No.1 treat! I’m not fussy with the flavour, they all work for me. Tip: Add some crumbled ‘stick of rock’ to any ice-cream to make it pop.
Perfect Summer’s Day: Oh, where do I even begin? It’s my favourite time of the year. Hmmm but if I had to choose I’d say sitting on a British beach in the sun, eating ice cream and sticks of rock.
Favourite Summer Drink: It has to be Pimms – it’s so fruity and refreshing and everything about it reminds me of summer.
Favourite Aspect of the Show: I get to spend time with so many wonderful event venues and suppliers whilst sipping on some very fruity cocktails. I also just love that through my Show you can experience summer twice a year rather than once like everyone else!

Clare McAndrew

Show Director & Marketing Manager

Clare joined Story Events as Marketing Manager after gaining 5 years experience marketing large scale B2B international exhibitions for the building & interior industry at ITE Group plc. She loves working for Story and especially enioys being able to let her creativity loose on these special and unique events.

Favourite Ice Cream Flavour: Rocky Road – every bite is a surprise, you never get bored!
Perfect Summer’s Day: Dining alfresco with friends and family enjoying a nice cool drink with a view of water, whether it be the sea, a river, lake or a pool – I’m a foodie, a drinkie (is that a word?) and a water baby – so all three combined is bliss.
Favourite Summer Drink: I love sitting in the sun sipping on a glass of cool bubbles – I’m not fussy! Champagne, Prosecco or Cava all do the job, as long as there are bubbles, I’m sold!
Favourite Aspect of the Show: I love the creativity, fun and love that is poured into this Show from the events team – it’s no normal exhibition which makes it an absolute joy to be a part of.

Ellie Jenkins

Business Development Manager

Ellie joined Story Events as Business Development Manager after working on B2B Construction events at UBM for just over three years.  She is really excited to be working on the Christmas and Summer exhibitions working closely with the VSL team and getting stuck in!

Favourite Ice Cream Flavour: For me I love Coconut ice cream, it’s like an ice lolly and an ice cream in one, what more could you want?
Perfect Summer’s Day: Being back home in Brighton by the seaside for the day, before lighting up a BBQ on the beach as the sun sets…did someone say marshmallows?
Favourite Summer Drink: A chilled Aperol Spritz is always a winner!
Favourite Aspect of the Show: I love the fact both the Summer and Christmas shows are dedicated to focusing on the client experience. Each exhibitor gets their creative hat on, which means we can think outside of the box, where no idea is too wacky.

Grace Turner

Marketing & Operations Executive

Grace joined Story after working in Operations and Marketing at a digital agency for 2 years. With a keen eye for events and creativity, she is excited to be working on these fun Shows and loves seeing her ideas come to life.

Favourite Ice Cream Flavour: Coffee ice cream – it’s massively underrated. Plus, any excuse to get a caffeine fix!
Perfect Summer’s Day: Getting glitzed up and heading to a music festival with my favourite people, spending the day boozin’ and groovin’ in the sunshine.
Favourite Summer Drink: A rum punch served over ice. If you close your eyes it’s just like being in the Caribbean…
Favourite Aspect of the Show: I love that no two Shows are the same. The team think outside the box to bring different themes, innovative ideas and exciting exhibitors every year.
